Manuel Francisco dos Santos better known as Garrincha was a Brazilian soccer player.
He was born in Magé, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 28th October, 1933.
He was a footballer who first played in Botafogo where he spent much of his career. After that he signed for several Brazilian teams, a Colombian and Frech team.
Then he became famous for being one of the most outstanding players in two world cups won by Brazil.
He was married several times and had fourteen children.
Finally he died on 20th January, 1983 in Rio de Janeiro, as a result of his addiction to tobacco and alcohol.
