ALEXANDER THE GREAT

Alexander the Great was born in Pella (Macedonia) in 356 B.C. He has been considered the greatest strategist of all time. In just eleven years he defeated the Persian Empire and conquered an immense territory that spanned from Greece to India. He created a single currency, imposed Greek as a common language, opened trade, roads and irrigation Canals were built.

He became a myth after dying at the age of 33 in Babylon in 323 B.C.
